Meirbolat Toitov has been one of the best Bantamweights (56 kg) in WSB this season after achieving a perfect 4-0 record, and this is Toitov’s third season in the competition where he has accumulated a fearsome 8-2 record.
His victories in this campaign have been particularly impressive, as he has beaten a wide range of fighters who each has differing styles. Francisco Martinez, Sylwester Kozlowski, Luis Ruiz and Jose Diaz all failed to shine against the Kazakh, who is relentless once he takes control of a contest.
Toitov started his boxing career at 11-years-old, and credits his technical ability as a significant attribute. The hard working Bantamweight was part of the Astana Arlans team which became WSB Champions in Season III, and he views that accolade as his career highlight so far.
Away from the boxing ring, Toitov enjoys walking in the forest, and spending time with his wife and family. With ambitions of becoming a father of five, he takes in-ring inspiration from Serik Konakbayev, and views the upcoming clash with Cuba as a potential chance for revenge following their loss to the Domadores in the pre-season Clash of Champions.
