The 22-year-old Croatian is a WSB veteran despite his tender years, as he has competed in all five seasons of the competition, building up an outstanding record in the process.

Hrgovic is currently enjoying his best ever campaign after finishing top of the Super Heavyweight rankings, and the imposing star is 7-0 this season. With six wins finishing inside two rounds, the power is available to stop any competitor, but also has the boxing ability to win fights on points.

Across a season of complete success, brutal stoppage victories over Azerbaijan’s Haji Murtuzaliyev and Venezuela’s Edgar Ramon Munoz Mata were particularly impressive, and he has also displayed an excellent defence to prevent dangerous attacks from his opponents.

Away from WSB, Hrgovic has won four successive Croatian National Championships, and began his rise in boxing with the gold medal at the 2010 AIBA Youth World Championships. Hrgovic’s strength and prowess has led him to become a frequent sparring partner for many Champion boxers, which has helped enable him to firmly establish himself as a world class boxer in his own right.

His number ranking also resulted in a qualification quota for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, which makes him one of the favourites for gold in that competition next year.
