Rau'Shee Warren, fresh off of his bronze medal at the World
Championships in Baku, returned today to sunny Los Angeles and is
ready to once again Captain the LA Matadors as they take on the
World in the second season of WSB. "It feels great to be back
in LA with my team, and I am looking forward to fighting some great
opponents in preparation for London in 2012. This season will
be very exciting for all of us, as we will now be fighting the best
guys in the world, and not just the United States", said
Warren. Warren is the most decorated U.S. amateur boxer in
the last 50 years. He was World Champion in 2007 and finished third
twice. He says he has 316 fights, 18 title belts and more than 100
medals, most of which he has donated to family, coaches and kids in
the neighborhood. "Having Baby Pit back will be the
cornerstone of our Team this season. His leadership inside
and outside of the ring is something that makes the rest of our
fighters better, as they see his work ethic and want to emulate it.
We are looking forward to him giving the fans a real treat this
season both in Hollywood and overseas", said GM Ray Doustdar.
The Matadors fight their first season opener at home against the
Astana Arlans on Sunday 13 November 2011 at 8pm at the MUSIC BOX
HOLLYWOOD.
