Two more Irish boxers got their signed participation agreements
in just before yesterday's deadline, bringing to five the total
number of boxers from the Emerald Isle available for selection in
next Monday's International Boxer Draft in London.
John Joe Joyce, 22, made the quarter finals at the 2010 European
Championships in Moscow 2010 earlier this month after picking up
the bronze medal in the 2008 edition of the tournament in
Liverpool.
Willie McLoughlin, 24, made the quarter finals of the 2009 AIBA
World Championships in Milan and took a silver at the 2009 European
Union Championships in Odense.
Both will compete in the WSB's middleweight (73kg) class and join
John Nevin (54kg), David Joyce (61kg) and Keneth Egan (85kg) on the
roster of top Irish boxing talent that will available for selection
by the WSB teams in London next week.
