And the heroes of WSB Season V were in excellent form as they amassed three gold, four silver and three bronze medals across the ten men’s competitions. Among them was Uzbekistan’s reigning ASBC Asian Champion Hasanboy Dusmatov, who didn’t let anyone forget about his unbeaten campaign with the Ukraine Otamans, dominating the light flyweight competition from beginning to end.

Caciques de Venezuela’s Johan Gonzalez grabbed middleweight gold after successfully moving up from the welterweight category, and British Lionhearts’ Josh Buatsi overcame Morocco Atlas Lions’ Peter Mullenberg in their all-WSB light heavyweight final.

Another British Lionhearts boxer, Samuel Maxwell, narrowly lost to Brazil’s Joedison Teixeira in the light welterweight final, taking silver along with Morocco Atlas Lions’ Mohammed Rabii. Mexico Guerreros’ Julio Castillo delivered the heavyweight silver, while Morocco’s Achraf Kharroubi, Great Britain’s Luke McCormack and Venezuela’s Luis Cabrera all took home bronze medals from the Rio Test Event.
