Who will take flight when Argentina Condors face Caciques Venezuela?

A South American derby is one of the highlights in week 12 of the World Series of Boxing (WSB) as Argentina Condors host Caciques Venezuela.

Argentina won their first match of the season at home two weeks ago, while Venezuela are on a two match winning streak.

Ciudad De San Luis, San Luis is the venue for this Group B clash, where on Saturday 11th April fans across the world can watch the action free, live and on demand from 23:00 (GMT -3) at AIBABoxingTV.com.

The action begins at Flyweight (52 kg) where 1-3 Condor Cristian Alan Choque Chambi meets Venezuela’s Eduard Johan Bermúdez Salas who defeated USA’s Brent Venegas III two weeks ago.

Argentina’s Brian Ivan Nunez won his first match of the season in his last bout after four previously unsuccessful attempts, and the Lightweight (60 kg) will look to make it two in a row against Caciques debutant Luis Cabrera.

Gabriel Maestre Perez won a bronze medal for Venezuela at the 2013 AIBA World Championships, and has excelled in WSB this season.

Ranked number five in a competitive Welterweight (69 kg) division, the South American star is unlikely to qualify for Rio 2016 through WSB, but will want to move up the rankings after he faces Argentina’s 2-2 Alberto Ignacio Palmetta.

Palmetta won his opening two matches of Season V, but has lost his subsequent bouts which makes this Welterweight contest tough to call.

3-1 Venezuelan Light heavyweight (81 kg) Albert Ramon Ramirez Duran is fifth in the rankings, with his lone loss coming to WSB legend Hrvoje Sep via split decision.

This week he meets 0-1 Argentine Josue Oliva who has also lost to Sep this season.

The night ends at Super heavyweight (91+ kg) where home favourite Carlos Pedro Blanche battles Edgar Ramon Munoz Mata who stopped Cam F. Awesome two weeks ago.
