WSB Franchise representatives held three day talks
After a successful three days of meetings at World Series of Boxing Headquarters in Lausanne (Switzerland), the WSB Franchise Conference, which brought together representatives from eleven of the twelve teams before the start of the much anticipated Season III, came to an end today with all parties extremely happy with developments following quality open discussions throughout the weekend.
“This Conference has helped us in understanding all part of the management of a Franchise: from the sporting side to the promotion or the event delivery… It was also very pleasant to meet all our new colleagues in such a friendly environment. I really appreciated the welcome”, stated Hernán Salvo, General Manager of the Argentina Condors.
The talks were aimed at getting all Franchises around the table to give their views and opinions on how best to optimise the competition. The three days of discussions were very fruitful with a lot of constructive ideas exchanged. High on the agenda was uniformed TV production and a renewed focus on marketing to ensure the true identity of the competition is conveyed across the globe.
The various changes to the format were reviewed and details on the incorporation of AIBA Professional Boxing were explained with the vision for the future also laid out. After the Draw was held, the draft concluded the Sunday as 27 top class boxers were chosen by the various teams to begin the campaign. The finer details were also ironed out and every party left happy. They were all raring to go afterwards.
“It’s been three very interesting days. It was important for us, as new Franchise, to listen the WSB staff and the more experience Franchises. We now feel ready to start the season and can’t wait for the 16-17 November”, declared Hubert Migaczew, coach of the Hussars Poland.
This season truly promises to be the most exciting to date with some mouth-watering contests already scheduled early on with the addition of several quality squads and some world class boxers set to take to the ring.
